New Zealand Rugby League

NZRL

New Zealand was the second nation in the world to compete in international rugby league competition which highlights just how fond New Zealanders are of the sport. This is one of the reasons Pirtek New Zealand are proud to be the principal’s sponsors of New Zealand Rugby League. Since 2008, Pirtek and NZRL have had a strong relationship, and have partnered them through winning the 2008 Rugby League World cup as well as twice winning the Tri-Nations competitions in both 2010 and 2014, not to mention many other notable performances throughout the years.

Continued principal sponsorship for almost a decade now is something Pirtek and NZRL are proud of and we are like minded with our business principals and work ethic, combined with a winning attitude.

Teams

Not only are Pirtek proud sponsors of the Kiwis we can’t forget the importance of our up and coming future Kiwi’s that are represented in the Junior Kiwis, the Under 18’s and the under 16’s. These teams and players are vital to the ongoing succession of great Kiwi Rugby League players. Pirtek’s association with these teams is a rewarding component within our overall sponsorship arrangement.

Pirtek Volunteer of the Month

Being the principal sponsor of NZRL is not just about being represented on the front of the Kiwi’s jerseys it’s also about the community, the community that keep Rugby League operating throughout the country each year.

At Pirtek we recognise that many of the local Rugby League clubs wouldn’t be what they are today without the hard work and dedication from generous volunteers. These kind people are the reasons that many clubs have the support and numbers that they have today, and we like to show these people just how much we appreciate their hard work. Each month NZRL and Pirtek receive a multitude of wonderful nominations from the Rugby League community and we recognize a Volunteer of the Month. This is always a tough decision but the volunteer is selected based on how strongly they show the four pillars:

The 'Kiwi Way’ entails four key pillars:
•   We are family first – stronger together.
•   Innovative and Courageous – punch above our weight.
•   We are responsible.
•   We are inclusive, respectful and humble.

Each successful volunteer of the month is put forward for the Volunteer of the Year award at the NZRL awards.
