Mobile Sales and Service Technician – Pirtek Taupo

Pirtek Taupo is seeking a motivated Mobile Sales and Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role, providing on-site hydraulic and mechanical service to a wide range of industries. You’ll be responsible for attending service calls, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic issues, and building relationships with our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend on-site service calls to repair and replace hydraulic and mechanical components
• Provide 24/7 hydraulic breakdown servicing, as part of a rotating on-call roster working 1 full week a month.
• Assemble and fit new and serviced hydraulic components such as hoses, pumps, motors, and rams
• Perform new installation work on a variety of machinery
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with clients, identify new target customers, pursue sales opportunities and regular sales visits
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and Safe Work Practices

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience in hydraulics or a mechanical/light engineering background is preferred
• Ability to operate machinery, tools, and measuring devices accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under time restrictions
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills in English
• Full, clean NZ Driver’s License and medically/physically fit
• Flexibility to work overtime and participate in the after-hours on-call roster
