- Attend onsite service calls on a range of machinery in the agriculture, horticulture, transport, forestry and engineering industries
- Attend breakdown and scheduled servicing during normal business hours (after hours rostered)
- Conduct fault finding and diagnosis of hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Assemble and install new and serviced hydraulic and mechanical assemblies, components and controls
- Experience in hydraulics and/or a mechanical background an advantage
- A great sense of humour is critical – we love to laugh - Confident to work autonomously in the field
- Capable working as part of a team
- Able to interact with both customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet
- Flexible to changes in the day-to-day schedule, no two days are the same
- Fun and enthusiastic
- Full NZ drivers licence
- Available for after hours and on call work (rostered)
This is a ‘hands on’ role where you will be travelling between customers sites to replace hydraulic hoses in breakdown situations or completing new installation work on different equipment and machinery.
- Permanent, full-time position
- Hourly rate – negotiable
- 45 hours per week (7.30 – 5pm, Monday – Friday)
- Time and a half for after-hours call outs
- Phone plan and iPad supplied
- All protective gear and PPE supplied
- Full job training provided (Pirtek induction training course) with ongoing product training
- Relocation costs considered
